Meet RSVPs and Mock Meet follow-up

Hello Piranhas families! I want to start out by offering apologies for some of the confusion about the mock meet that was cancelled. This was the first year that we were going to attempt to hold a mock meet, and with it being pretty early in our season--which was chosen because evenings are generally easier to have everybody out for--there wasn't a lot of time to make sure everybody was on the same page, especially with ALL the other information we're trying to get out to everybody. Some things got lost in the noise.

As far as the mock meet itself goes, we will probably not attempt to reschedule it. The rest of this week will be even colder, and starting next week we will be holding our practices in the morning. For those who are interested in becoming officials, we will reach out to each of you to find a good day for you to attend a morning practice where we can run a few simulated events so you can get the necessary experience to be fully certified. If you can't make a morning practice, we'll schedule you to shadow someone at an actual meet to get that certification.

One thing that arose out of the last few days was that there was a lot of confusion, especially among new families, about RSVPing for a meet. Let me try to clear that up!

For each meet that we have, we need families to let us know if they're coming or not, along with some details about it. You can do so either on the team website (go to casselhillspiranhas.com and click on 'Meets & Events' and then on 'Signup Calendar') or the mobile app (just scroll down on the home screen till you see the meets). For each meet, you will want to click on 'RSVP' on the website, or tap on 'Meet Signup' on the app, and answer the questions it asks. SwimTopia has a very detailed step-by-step video on the process, which is linked just below. There might be some differences in that we don't necessarily utilize all of the options shown in the video, but everything you need to know is in there:

If, after watching the video, you still have questions or are unsure about anything, please let us know!
